Tiling Calculator •

Special Degree Project: Web tool for visualization and calculation of necessary material for flooring flat surfaces using the 2D tessellation technique based on Voronoi diagrams. A common problem related to tiling is covering surfaces with types and models of tiles available in stores. Building tiled surfaces is an art; however, building these surfaces sometimes becomes a challenging task, which in many cases leads to using tiles that do not favor the design or do not adapt to the surface. Therefore, a web tool was developed that calculates for a given simple and convex polygonal surface, the required material and the possibility of appreciating at scale the final appearance of the tiled surface in a quick and simple way, applying 2D Tessellation techniques based on Voronoi Diagrams.
